Liquid Filtration

Liquid Filtration covers a very wide range from single use vessel or strainer bags to complicated belt filters. BWF has approached this area with special felt media predominantly focused on and designed for durability, efficiency and life.

For owners of disc, belt, drum, pressure and plate type filters, the benefits of BWF's liquid filter felts include:

Each one can be designed to provide application-specific particle relation, cake discharge and life on the filter equipment. BWF also adds chemical and surface cake release treatments to its liquid filter felts to further enhance the performance of the media.

For new products or problem applications, BWF's lab will perform no-charge slurry testing using Buchner Funnel tests for batch filters and "leaf" tests for continuous filters. From these tests, we are able to eliminate obvious mismatches and focus on the most likely successful recommendation.
