Sparks, live particles or burning embers can wreak havoc in any baghouse. Fires, explosions and damaged dust collector bags usually result. Designs such as FireGuard protect the base filter media with a top layer of spark resistant fibers. PyroGuard is a unique surface coating containing graphite to protect against sparks and pyrophoric dusts. CS30/31 are PTFE coatings which are effective against light sparks.
